Admissions

Here you will find everything that you need to apply to the school:

Nursery Admissions for academic year 2021.22:

The Local Authority leads the coordination of Nursery Admissions for all schools in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets including own admission schools like us.

To apply for a Nursery place at our school, you first need to complete the On Line form with the borough. You can access the form and guidance here: https://www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/lgnl/education_and_learning/schools/school_admissions/nursery_school_admissions.aspx

You must have submitted your application by 16th February 2021 for a place in September 2021.

In addition to the borough’s own on line process, to apply to our school you are also required to complete our school Application Form and to submit that to the school office by the same date.

With your application to our school, you may need to provide:

  • A reference from your church on the school's Supplementary Form.

  • Professional evidence of a disability and/or exceptional medical, pastoral, special educational or social need.

Provision of this additional information will ensure that the school has the necessary information to apply the Oversubscription Criteria listed in our policy (see below).

Application forms are available here and must be returned to the School Office by the stipulated date.

Please see the links below:

For applications to the school's Nursery for the 2021.22 academic year, please note the following:

1. Due to the fact that throughout lockdown families were not able to attend church, the school has made a request to vary the admission policy to take into account the closure of churches due to the pandemic.  The statement to be added is ….’In the event that during the period specified for attendance at worship the church has been closed for public worship and has not provided alternative premises for that worship, the requirements of these admissions arrangements in relation to attendance will only apply to the period when the church or alternative premises have been available for public worship.’ This will enable us to apply over subscription criteria 5 and 6 fairly if we have more applications for places than we have places.

2. If you are considering applying for your child to start Nursery with us in September 2021, we understand that you will want to know more about our provision to inform your decision. Regretfully this year, due to the Covid-19 secure work place restrictions, we have made the difficult decision not to run tours and open days/evenings as normal. Instead we will make the following available to you:

  • By 1st November, on this page, we will upload two videos. The first will be a virtual tour of the school and the second will be of the presentation we would have delivered during an open day/evening.

  • On 18th November at 8:00am, and then repeated on 19th November at 5:00pm, we will host a 'Question and Answer' session on Zoom. The details will be posted here in advance. We ask that before attending the Zoom session, you have watched both videos. Present for the 'Question and Answer' session will be: Our Headteacher Rebecca Abrahams, our Head of Years Jess Tough, and two parents, who both work as Child Minders with the school, both have children in the school of their own and one of whom is a Parent Governor.

We appreciate that these arrangements cannot provide the same experience as visiting the school, but we hope that you understand our need to take steps to protect our staff and children during this challenging time. Our Headteacher's contact details are provided on the home page of this website and our Early Years Leader will also provide hers in the 'Question and Answer' session, allowing for you to follow up with us afterwards, if you have any further questions or things that you would like to discuss.

We look forward to meeting you on Zoom.
