The Year 5/6 girls’ football team were a real credit to the school recently, demonstrating outstanding enthusiasm and resilience in extremely challenging conditions. Despite pouring rain, the girls played with determination and positivity from start to finish.
After suffering a heavy 4–0 defeat earlier, the team showed incredible character to bounce back and secure a well-deserved win. Most impressive of all was their teamwork. The players supported one another brilliantly throughout the match, encouraging each other and playing with huge smiles on their faces—even while completely drenched!
The boys’ football team also enjoyed a successful outing the week after, performing to a similarly high standard. Their effort, teamwork and sportsmanship ensured they too were a credit to the school.
Well done to all the players involved, and a big thank you to coaches Stephen and Steve for their continued support and commitment.

It’s always encouraging to see young students actively participating in team sports. Football at the Year 5 and 6 level teaches much more than just the game itself—it helps develop teamwork, discipline, communication, and confidence. These experiences often create lasting memories and valuable life skills. The dedication shown by both the players and coaches deserves recognition. In many fields, whether sports or business, structured systems and consistency drive success, much like Walmart Dropshipping Automation helps streamline operations. Which match or moment from the season do you think had the biggest impact on the team's development?
